Which designer did you choose and why?
I chose ‘Constance’ by Lillian West. I fell in love with her sleeves, her neckline and boho style INSTANTLY.
What made you choose Lulu’s initially?
My sister-in-law was engaged at the time (I was not!) and she came across Lulu’s via Instagram. I took a glimpse and immediately started following. I loved scrolling through all the gorgeousness knowing that one day I was going to visit Lulu’s.
What was the best part of your dress shopping journey?
Oh my goodness all of it! I was quite nervous about the experience but from the moment I met Jess, she put me at ease straight away. I loved trying on lots of different styles, playing dress up for the afternoon was just fabulous! But of course, the best part was when I said ‘Yes! to the Lulu’s dress’we all clapped and cheered.
One piece of advice you’d pass onto to brides to be?
The biggest piece of advice - do not worry! When you talk of wedding dress shopping people say ‘You will just know when the dress is the one’ ‘You will get the feeling ‘. I worried myself of this ‘feeling’ but once I put Constance on, I found myself just staring at her thinking ‘Please Jess, 5 more minutes!’ that feeling comes and I can only describe it as you don’t want to take your dress off!
Why would you recommend Lulu’s to future brides?
Not only for the gorgeous gowns but for the girls who make up Team Lulu.
The girls are so knowledgeable, patient and most importantly experienced in finding you your dream dress. It only took for Jess to look at me to know my size and what samples to bring out! I wasn’t planning on wearing a veil and Jess asked if she could bring me a pearl veil to try, to which my mumreplied ‘YES!’ and WOW was I glad she brought it out – totally changed my mind and completed my dress!
Not forgetting to mention the hilarious owner, Helen who provides all the daily lol’s on Instagram in between the beautiful gowns! The boutique itself is so beautiful, calming and relaxing you are instantly settled once you arrive. I’m sad to not be going back, but it was the most wonderful day I’ll never forget. I loved being a Lulu’s bride!
