Hayley and Rick – 25th March 2016
I saw my dress in the window whilst crossing the road to my first ever wedding dress appointment. My friend was a previous Lulu Brown’s bride and after her very positive experience I knew Lulu’s had to be my first stop on the search for my perfect wedding gown. I had looked at lots of designers on the Internet and really felt like Justin Alexander gowns really fitted my style and knew I wanted to try some of their designs.
As I was getting married abroad in a very small ceremony with only four people in attendance in Sydney, Australia – many people said “oh you will be going for something low key” but I saw this as my only time to wear the most amazing dress of my life and didn’t want to compromise on this. As soon as I tried the dress on I felt absolutely amazing and knew it was the one, however I still tried on nearly 40 other dresses but nothing in my mind compared!
I love everything about my gown from the Chantilly Lace, chapel length train and the pearl and crystal encrusted décolletage and back detailing. The main detail for me was that the colour of the dress is ivory lace with a taupe underlay. It really stood out from all the other dresses I tried on. I chose a Richard Designs Veil which was very simple being one layered and having very delicate lace detailing placed around the edge. I also wore a small pearl encrusted slide in my hair as I still wanted to look glamorous when I removed the veil. My bouquet was white rose and David Austin rose in Blush with a very small amount of foliage. I wouldn’t change a moment about our wedding day it was perfect!
