College Photoshoot
Sunday 22nd October, a crisp Autumnal day and the most perfect setting for our photoshoot.
A morning which included our beautiful model, Mel, our local and fabulous florist and a selection of our stunning gowns!
Adding in a touch of glamour with hair and makeup and we are ready to roll...
The grand setting of Stonyhurst College was a perfect backdrop for our Autumn/Winter shoot, we decided on a theme of 'Winter Berries', this being carried through the deep tones in the makeup with dark berry eyeshadow and a monochromatic lip!
Finishing off the look ,the talented ladies of Bloom and Green Floral Design, who are based in Barrow (we love to keep everything local!) created an absolutely stunning bridal bouquet and floral hair crown for us. Keeping with the colour scheme along with some nude tones and greenery added in, the flowers were so beautiful and really made our vision for the day come alive.

Our wonderful team on the day also consisted of the lovely Kate of Kinfolk Photography taking the stunning, natural photographs, and makeup by our very own Jess of LB's!
Only for one (or more) of her bridal party to announce that no, they don’t think it is her gown. They think she can find a better one.

The feeling in the room is one of utter deflation, like someone has popped a balloon.
​
She turns to me in the hope I’m going to pull out another magic gown that’s going to make her feel the same as her perfect gown just has. And the sad truth is, I won’t be able to do that.
​
​I have literally wanted to cry for these ladies. To take their beautiful heads and put my hands over their ears and beg them not to listen to anyone but themselves.
​
You see, YOU will know when you’ve found your dream gown. I truly believe this.
​
As much as I believe a wedding gown can’t be “sold” to you. It’s all about that funny feeling in the pit of your stomach, that’s the opinion you should listen to, because I promise, she’ll never let you down.
​
As a stylist team, we have one goal at Lulu’s and that’s to help you explore your style. We adore the process of helping you find something that’s going to express your personality, that’s going to help you feel confident and your very best you! to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.
We really wanted to embrace the look of a real bride, natural, happy and super comfortable!

Taking into consideration different styles and looks for the photo shoot, we wanted to photograph different styles of gowns from a selection of our designers that we carry here at Lulu's.
​
Stonyhurst college was a beautifully grand setting for
the look we were going for, surrounded by the dark wooden staircases and open spaces, we are so beyond happy with the results!
